Also, I believe the common-carrier obligation is silent on the price demanded by the carrier for the service requested, as long as it is reasonable. (Transportation lawyers build summer homes by arguing cases determining what is "reasonable" in a particular situation.) If the (prospective) shipper doesn't like the price offered he is free to decline.

Would any PV owner on here care to offer an opinion about having his car handled in regular freight service?
