I was Looking at THE Following - please see Link, Links.

https://www.progressrail.com/en/Segment ... SDL38.html the EMD SDL38-2 has a 8 Cyl. 71G3B. With a build date of 1978 according to wikipedia > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_EMD_locomotives their Export and Narrow Gauge Locomotive Segment IT LEAVES the area blank<
Me, personally I highly Doubt that The EMD 8-710G3B  Prime Mover was actually developed in 1978 Let a lone in use in a EMD Locomotive as a Prime mover at the time ...Last I knew the EMD SD38-2 SERIES has the 16 CYLINDER EMD 645E PRIME MOVER! Would anyone care to explain this one ?
