Does anyone know about the status of the Maybrook line in Derby Ct and Shelton?
I thought this section was out of service, But yesterday I observed a Sperry Highrail vehicle and crew doing inspections in Shelton.

The Maybrook line is still in service in Derby and Shelton but HRRC has not had a reason to run east of Lakeland (Interstate) Lumber in Newtown since the last train returning from repairs at the former Pan Am shops returned via Derby Junction in August 2020.
Sperry has a facility in Shelton and regularly sends crews and equipment to the Maybrook line in Shelton for testing and training so that is what you saw Sperry doing.

Thought there was an issue with the Shelton bridge causing the P&W rock train to take the Metro North Norwalk branch.
"Norwalk Branch?" I take it you're talking about the branch that joins the New Haven Line at South Norwalk, which is the Danbury Branch.
