I have just completed a documentary on Escanaba and Lake Superior 600, an ex-Milwaukee Road FP7 built in 1951 which still sees revenue freight service on the quiet shortline to this day. This episode is the 20th in my locomotive documentary series known as "Remarkable Engines" which goes over little known locomotives in railroading history.
Enjoy! :-D

Indeed. One of my long term OpenRails projects has been the current E&LS mainline backdated to when the MILW operated it.

You're a bit mistaken that this is the last F unit in freight service with a shortline.

Ontario Northern and Ontario Southern still operate a few, as do the West Virginia Central / Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad. There might be another shortline operating them in New England, as well as the Reading Northern and the Aberdeen Carolina & Western, who each bought two of the NS executive units sold in 2019.

Royal Gorge has several in excursion service, as does the North Shore Railroad who also does some occasional freight handling.
