This was the only dash 8.5 which never had its rebuild completed. Because of this, it is partially in its original Conrail blue and is the only locomotive left on NS which is still in a Conrail livery. It was recently spotted two days ago on Virtual Railfan reportedly headed towards Mervis Recycling in Decatur, IL, possibly for scrapping. Does anyone have any information about this locomotive's disposition and possible future?

I didn't post that video on here. I just wanted confirmation from that video earlier. NS 8503 is now slated to be scrapped.

If only you had read the description of the YT video that I posted, which literally said exactly that....
