Nearly a full complement of trains was reviewed in this period, the main exceptions caused by the truncation of the City of New Orleans due to flooding south of Memphis.
Services which improved in both measured categories included both directions of the STL and KCY Corridors.
The number of trains which departed their initial terminals too late to permit an OT arrival rose from 16 to 19.
Of the 76 trains which arrived more than 2' late, the Crescent accounted for 32.
Of the total delay minutes in this period:
Crescent accounted for 22%;
STL Corridor for 21%; and
DET Corridor for 16%.
The figure for the STL Corridor remains inflated because of the continued failure to provide for an OT section when #22 eastbound
Texas Eagle is excessively late and to the extremely poor performance of #21 westbound Texas Eagle -- 14% OT for the last 100 trips.
Of the trains not showing an arrival time, the missing figure for all was at CHI.
FYI, I backed off 1 day to use the month of April so you can compare Amtrak's figures when released. They are favorably skewed as
Amtrak allows a grace period on all trains. I'mm strictly old school: OT is OT and Late is F'n LATE!!!
