Mineola is such an awesome place to watch trains. I don't live there, i live in NH, but my grandparents live near there, so we walk down from their house every so often. does anyone else go there?

Yes, I attended Hofstra University from 93-95. I used to always go there after class, especially during the PM rush hour. Sitting by the crossing gates in between the Main Line and the Oyster Bay branch. Great way to pass the time.

Here's a great website containing some pix from Mineola.

I've been meaning to get out there, especially since I live nearby now (and cross over some of the tracks there on my way back from work). The only time I've been nearby was about a month and a half ago, when I had lunch with my grandmother at a restaurant right along the track, near the station. It was mostly LIRR MUs rolling by, but there was one NYAR freight I saw going past.
