I tell my railroad-aware cousin two years ago that I got a real nice apartment overlooking the Northeast Corridor in Harrison. My cousin's initial reaction was, "Geez, is that safe?" I paused, puzzled... then replied, "Gary, I'm in Harrison, NEW YORK."

I can understand the concern. If you were living in Harrison, NJ, you would probably have been homeless and either living in a cardboard box on the PATH platform in squating in an abandoned warehouse.

Sometime ago when leaving a westbound at Harrison a fellow passenger asked me for directions as he couldn't locate the golf course on the station map!
Sent him to Grand Central.
