NS 339 was stopped just short of MP 195 waiting for NS A37 to finish its days work and get in the clear. I waited for almost an hour and the late evening light went away before 393 got the clear and proceeded into Tuscaloosa. This train had a freshly painted SD70ACe in the Belle scheme as well as two Ferromex units in tow. I did manage to get picture with my camcorder so the quality isn't great

Amtrak 20 and 19 met at Tuscaloosa Siding today. Train 20 piloted by Big Mo and Ted got there first just as Train 19 arrived at the Tuscaloosa Depot. They didn't have to wait long before Train 19 crossed the ABS Interlocker and got in the hole so Train 20 could continue on. Lots of good audio on this video as Mr. Excuses (Big Mo)told me my hat was in his other bag ( I think he's still a bit upset abouth the National Championship Game).
Next up is Train 19 backing out of Tuscaloosa Siding to continue its trip to New Orleans. Lots of good audio on this one too as the conductor and engineer talk to the dispatcher and back the train out of Tuscaloosa Siding. The engineer on that train, I believe his name is Mike missed his true calling and should have been a radio DJ.
All in all a great day trackside provided by both crews of the Cresents. Well done ladies and gentlemen.
And let us not forget about NS 345 that was running a block ahead of Train 19 and had a great piece of old school power in the lead

A weeks worth of videos in and around Mile Post 195 on the AGS South. I had to get most of them on my way home from work when I cross 26th Street in East Tuscaloosa. The signal at MP195 always lets me know what's on the way.

Amtrak Train 19 arrived first and then Big Mo brought Train 20 into Tuscaloosa an hour late due to mechanical problems ( I thought he was trying to avoid me but he had my hat!) Big Mo and crew wasted no time in getting 20 up to speed and making up time as I barely caught them running track speed at CP Flemming.

And I did get one from the Capture Cam early this morning

By chance I stumbled across the ABS leaving Tuscaloosa for Birmingham Sunday afternoon. The train was long and had four SD40-2's. I was able to cahse the train to the Highway 216 overpass
As an added extra bonus I've included a crappy video I shot with my phone early one morning last week of the Birmingham turn returning to Tuscvaloosa with three CSX motors

Went to Atlanta this week on the Cresent. Not a bad trip. It could have been
better but it could have been worse too.
Shot a few videos from the train. Not my best work but I didn't have a roomette.
Wont ever make that mistake again.
And as always shot some trains at MP195 as time allowed. I'm in Mobile this
weekend and as soon as I get all my rat killing done it's off to the track.

Here are the last weeks videos of the train arounf MP195 on the AGS South. With longer days and warmer temperatures there seems to be plenty of time for chasing but no time for editing. I think I will try shorter videos with more content.
The highlight of the week was a meet between the Cresents at Moundville, Alabama. This was the first time I had ever ventured down that way and got luck and caught Train 20 in the hole to meet Train 19 at speed. This trip also sees the introduction of the Cycle Cam. Yet to be perfected it does have potential.
There is also a massive UP consist heading NS225, Heritage Unit #145, and some light engine moves. Enjoy and thanks for watching

I wanted to try and expedite my video postings so I I'm trying to do it from my phone. I remember when a phone was used to talk to people you couldn't see. Those were the days. Anyway, I digress. Here are a couple of videos from the week mostly at AGS South MP 195

Took the time to do a better editing job on my videos I shot of NS 951 and I included the pictures. Hope everyone had as much as fun chasing it as I did. Now we get to look forward to its return North up the AGS South.

Here are a couple of stragglers from last weeks action at NS AGS South MP 195. The work train was picking up rail that was replaced this winter.
Going to Birmingham today to fill up the camera

Train 19 was in the hole and easing up to the crossing to wait on Train 20 which was only a few minutes away. Train 20 showed up at speed with Heritage Unit #156 in the trailing position. After passing Train 19 continued on with some great great horn work by the crew. Look forward to catching them tomorrow at Moundville with the CycleCam.

A few video's from the last of last week. I was to busy and the weather would
not cooperate for thw guality of chasing I wanted to do. However I was able to
break out the CycleCam again and get some practice in down at Moundville. It
still needs some tweaking but it's still showing promise.
Wanted to get some cahsing time in this week but have to go to Mobile to pick up
my trains from the Azelea City Club. We suffered a catastrophic flood last week
and I need to go check out the damage. Maybe I'll get lucky and catch something
on the 3-B
