I'm assuming it must take them two crews to get from E. Deerfield to Portland with all that work?

I don't recall seeing lit number boards before. Is that something they're bringing back?

They never went away. :-)

The bulbs do burn out and occasionally a crew might forget to turn them on, but generally you're going to see them lit at night.

EDPO today had 370-606-601-504 and 26 cars out of Deerfield. Must have had some problems at the yard as they only made it as far as Athol before recrewing.

POED today had the 519-501-600-507 and 84 cars out of Gardner. AYED crew.

EDPO is all messed up right now, stopped short of Rockingham Junction at Swampscott Street waiting for a maintainer. With cables hanging off of one the engines. Causing major delays for multiple Downeasters.

I heard later that evening that POED also had some problems around Plaistow and had to limp to Lawrence.

All the more reason to restore full double track in the future.

EDPO blew thru Shirley at 1225 with 606-517-600 and a big train of 95 cars..lots of NS gons, unsure whats in them?
