So are DMU's really the best solution here, or is it just way cheaper and faster than electrifying? I wonder if it would be worth electrifying this segment. Probably a lot harder to sell that to the public, though, because of the cost and complexity.
I agree that those FRA regs seem pretty strict...I feel like, in a more perfect world, sharing a ROW but not tracks would be a good compromise.
