If FOX ever runs out of reality show ideas — and by the looks of it, it won't — the television network might want to consider this one: "Train Station Makeover."

Now, it may not be as scintillating as watching some spoiled rich kids do farm work or as engrossing as listening to a teen with a bad haircut belt out Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is," but if you've ever had to stand out in the cold waiting for a train, as Peter Boch has, you'll appreciate it.

The Pearl River man takes the 5:19 a.m. train from the station to the Secaucus Junction, before heading into Manhattan, and said he'd spent many mornings holding a cup of coffee to keep warm while waiting for his ride.

So he was pleased to hear about two Metro-North Railroad projects that would upgrade the train station — one would, among other things, add heated shelters and another would add more parking spaces.
