That's encouraging for you.

I am sure that it's the political will that has been missing. There are so many pessimistic voices in this forum, assuming that no progress will ever be made towards a modern rail system in the US. If the top man is optimistic, that should make some difference.

As they say, Biden has lots of experience of riding trains.

There was an interesting report last week that the president of Brazil travelled from Paris to London by Eurostar, whereas Sarkozy flew. But I wouldn't expect any progress on rail in Brazil, which is in a sad state.
