I looked in the Equipment tabulation book from 1997 and the 2843 is not listed, however the 2806 is. I never realized that some of the cars were owned by UMTA. I found this kinda odd. But then again, they probably provided the funding to conver the cars to diesel hauled service. for those of you younger guys who don't know what UMTA is , it is the Urban mass transit Administration, the forerunner of the FTA(Federal Transit Admin.). By the way, there were some odd numbered coaches that did not have bathrooms, or if they did originally, they were removed. I found examples of this in the equipment book that I have from 1997.
