I am interested to know what the forward visibility is from the newer MPI MP-36/40 units? The more I look at photos of these units it appears that one of the windshield post lines up with the engineer's line of sight.

Anybody on here that runs these things able to comment if this is a pain in the butt? The carrier I live on is about get these and I'm wondering what the day to day operating enviroment is with these units?

Anyone have an in-cab shot that INCLUDES the windshield area?

Anyone know why MPI doesn't go with 2 larger windshields?

And is that center lower head light on Metra's MPs a Mars light?

Are you guys aware of any other commuter carriers getting new units with Mars (or other brand name) lights?
