I know that the MTA or ConnDOT owns most of the Waterbury Branch. However, either the end of it or just past it, is private railroad. Exactly where is the line of demarcation, and is Waterbury Station along MTA or Housatonic track? Thanks.

(Title changed to reflect correctness.)

The Waterbury branch is entirely CDOT, the Housatonic does not enter nor has trackage rights on the Waterbury branch.
Housatonic track ends at the switch in Derby at the wye.
Guilfords Boston & Maine owns the freight rights of the Waterbury but Guilfords tracks end at the Division post 0.2 miles north of Waterbury station.

Dutch is correct- although you'll find that any Guilford property is listed as "Springfield Terminal" in employee timetables. ST operates the BM and the MEC.

The Naugatuck RR / Museum trackage begins at the point 0.2 miles north of the Waterbury station, and runs north from there, correct?

The Naugy's track starts at the next jct were the line to Bristol veers off. the Naugy has trackage rights on the B&M iI believe.

Thanks. The bridge just beyond Waterbury Station then would be the start of GB&M-owned track, right?
