METX 610

I hope this is relevant.
While the HLCX F40Cs have gone off the radar this F40C has found a new home. Probably one of the newest locomotives there.

Doesn't look like much of a home, looks more like the railroad equivalent of a hospice. Prolonging the inevitable I'm afraid; very sad...

The 610's been at the Dixmoor facility since its HEP unit imploded some years back. I can't imagine it will be purchased for anything but parts, as it probably needs a total rewiring for safe operation. But don't count it leaving that yard. I remember seeing those MKT geeps there years ago, and they haven't moved an inch.
