SEPTA single-ride tickets are stamped (yes, stamped with a rubber stamp) with the purchase date & selling location at the time of purchase. They are not supposed to be valid without being stamped. But practically speaking, the stamped information can be difficult to read & so most conductors will not usually give much heed to the date. SEPTA usually does change the color of ticket stock after a fare change, but there hasn't been one on RRD since 2013.
