Why do M7 toilets flush themselves every minute or 2 if the door is locked (bathroom door locked light)? Is this a new behavior or has it always been that way?
The toilet will automatically flush when the door is unlocked (after having been locked for greater than about 45 seconds) This was to insure it was flushed after each use. It was a very early mod with later M7 cars always doing it.
What is probably happening is, as the train moves the door shifts and the lock deadbolt comes off the indicator plunger, the logic sees this as the door being unlocked, and it flushes.
