When did CR tear out all the tracks that were around the LVRR easton station? I thought they were gone by the 70s but I just saw a pic from '85 and the yard tracks are there, well ballasted, with loaded coal hoppers on them. Even the tracks behind the station were still there. Today a single track in the woods!

The LV received welded rail around 1974. I remember seeing them do it whild home from college for the summer. After graduation in '76 I worked for a local construction company who rebuilt Glendon Ave from Iron St [just north of the Roundhouse] to the top of the hill. The roundhouse was torn down after I left the area in '78, same w/ the top of the passenger station.

I do remember seeing railwork around the hillclimb [Steel City] in the early 90's, that's also around the time Richards Yard disapeared. I'd bet that's when they cleaned up the tracks along canal street.
