Ye Gods, yer taste be in yer mouths, laddies. The best FA scheme on the LIRR was the first; platinum with a blue streak and a yellow pilot. Trouble was, they showed the exhaust spatter so terribly. I reported in Extra 2200S, way back then that LIRR FA's were unbelieveably filthy. I have an FA that is currently in NYC livery, but will get the repaint sometime this summer.

This also accentuates why we need a plastic C-420 in powered and dummy versions. Running HO Push-Pull trains is a dog otherwise.

I had a UP FA that i sold too some one that the Bunit was already dummied
had i not sell them all i had to do was strip out the motor.

you can pick up a cheep B stock FA/B set in trainland and do the repainting your self.
