LIRR 621 then.. ( also my old dodge aspen on the right.. long Gone now) You can also see my hand holding a dunking donut iced coffee on the platform)

No. The 2004 photo is the LIC Passenger yard. Yard A was on the north west side of sunnyside yard..

A Picture of Yard A from 1974 looking west.. note the world trade center in the background..
Cant be sure but it looks like a BAR engine in the yard..two story building next to the engine was the yardmasters office/crew faciilities

Abandoned Woodhaven Station.

It does get it's fair amount of workers there, though, track guys, electricians,signal guys, m of w, etc. Off limits to the general public. Picture taken by a friend sometime this year.

During phase 2 of conductor training in 2008, they actually took is down there and let us walk around the old platform. It was pretty cool. We also got to walk around the old ticket office.

Yes NY, they did that with most of the Conductor Classes after it closed, and also during tunnel evacuation classes too.
Damn Im getting old I worked trains that stopped there.

Look in background of first and third picture: NY City 33rd thru 37th street in background. The 1904 map (posted earlier) shows the pass station as does the 1910 photo at the west end of the tracks at a 90 degree angle. Also check the track configurations: all the same.
