It's unfortunate that many young (and not-so-young) folks discount the value of practical education and life experience and their effect on learning leadership.
Without an ability to "rally the men," even the best technician is lost in an industrial environment. I see this every day.
Education is a product. It has been carefully marketed to a generation who has too often lacked the guidance of the "school of hard knocks." The outcome are guys like this one here.
Formal education's part of a package that will help guide you on life's journey. Underestimate the other parts, and you're just a worker, at best -- and probably an obnoxious one at that!
