LIRR might actully act on somthing other then a bomb or suspicous bag.

i think the reason for being of the modern MTAPD is a MTA anti terrorism squd hidden under the name MTAPD, so they do "some" other things here and there.

you have to wonder what is going on in the minds of some people. At any crossing on Long Island, when a train approaches, bells are ringing, lights are flashing, horns are blowing, yet people still get hit by trains. I mean really, would you walk in front of a tanker truck on Jericho turnpike? Whats the difference? People have to be responsible too. The TRAIN is where it is supposed to be.

LIRR Conductor: Actually they probably do walk in front of tanker trucks. And fire trucks too, which are making as much noise as a train..... As one veteran fire dept. dispatcher once said to me: "These people are none too swift"

and our countury loves these people as we make laws to protect them, change the laws and screw'em then they will learn. its an eveloutionary succession. only the strong surivive
