There is a special instruction for the station due to the gap. I don't have the file on hand, and I'm not 100% sure what it is, but I think it's that both open doors need to be manned.
FYI: Amagansett is now a 2 car platform as of the beginning of this year.

Thanks LB, I always appreciate photos. Plus it shows the others what it was like back then.
It's been a while LB, but I also know these following stations are on a curve or part of it is on a curve:

You already said Syosset and Island Park.

Freeport, Amityville (Curves Slowly), Lawrence (Next to the Lawrence Ave. crossing), of course Glen St, East Rockaway, Far Rockaway, and Port Jefferson even have a slight curve to it.
East Rockaway is straight as an arrow. There is a curve just east of the station starting at the Atlantic Ave crossing

Concur with East Rockaway platforms being straight, see photos.

Great neck curves too, as does murray hill

Many Port Washington Branch stations curve actually. I did notice Great Neck is on a curve. It's also a fact that many LIRR stations are near a curve in the line.

Many Babylon Branch stations have a curve, along with many Oyster Bay Branch stations, and actually Country Life Press is on a curve. West Hempstead Branch stations, Port Jefferson Diesel stations, and I think some Ronkonkoma-Greenport stations are. There's many so I'm not going into details.
