Franklin Park Railroad Daze

I guess this could be loosely considered on-topic because Franklin Park is a Metra stop.

It looks like UP 1995 (the C&NW tribute unit) might be there this year. Its been sitting in Bensenville yard for the past couple of days with another UP unit (both cleaned and spiffed up) and a strange looking NS unit (I'm passing by to quickly on the train to get a real good look).

Metra is donating its usual MP36 plus an 8500 cab for the event. The MP unit is rumored to be 425...

The word is the NS unit is remote control.

Metra 425 was the MP, UP 1995 was there with a gevo and a remote control NS unit. Along with two private cars, a CP gevo and an IHB unit. There were also 2 Amtrak coaches

(it was pushing MD-W train 2710 towards Chicago)
