Hill Country Railroad Association, Llano, Texas, bought former LIRR 120 seater #2906 for use as a tourist car from a dealer in 2001. It's in Llano, Texas (look it up) at the end of an old SP branch line.

We need a schematic in order to master the electrical wonders of the car. Any help out there? We are considering a nickname for our railroad - "Route of the Relaxing Tourist" - to honor the car's LIRR heritage.

I've already given Brian the history and data on the 2900 series cars that I have in my library. I suggested he join the forum and ask for help with the electrical situation.

If anyone can assist him, I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.

Any car electricians out there, past or present? Your help can get this car running in passenger service again!!

Thanx!

Dave Keller

P.S. "Route of the Relaxing Tourist" is nostalgically reminiscent of "Dashing Dan" DK

I suggest you try Ken Bitten at Mid Atlantic Railcar

He is the guy who bought the 170 or so cars from the LIRR and resold them to interested parties. He may have some technical data on the cars.
