A couple of items of interest. Q111 will be operating via the NS tomorrow, and not the NYSW. Q165 will be operating by the NYSW sometime tomorrow. Train will be assembled in Kearny this evening and then delivered by a CSX yard transfer crew. Not sure on the timing. Haven't heard of any additional detours, but both NS and the NYSW are getting pushed pretty hard in terms of manpower utilization with all the extra traffic on their respective railroads. one estimate heard in Selkirk stated the tracks at the wreck site may not be opened up until early next week, but as i stress, thats a second hand estimate. The Fire departments on hand, as well as others, were doing a "controlled burn" of some remanining chemicals, to eliminate the risk of any possibility of further explosions. This simply adds to the delay in getting to work on clean up and service restoration.
Also, as for the 3634 and 3664, they were spotted today in Selkirk on the "hill track" a storage track for engines adjacent to the Selkirk engine service center and pretty much in front of the hump tower. they were in a consist that included other CSX power. no word on when or even if they may come south again. as of this afternoon at 1 PM they were simply sitting and idling in the afternoon sun.

I know I'm getting old... My insurance company sent me only half a calendar this year!
