The Freehold team track has not been extended, but it has been moved back a few more feet from the road, and is sitting on new ties.
No longer are the rails almost into the dirt.

They marked out the ground every two feet with pink dots spray painted all the way to the big ass tree. So they may have gone only as far as they did so E H Allen can unload their poles.

If they put down marking dots every 2 feet, they're probably going to extend it this coming week. Those marks won't last very long before disappearing.

I can't tell if they are removing old track or not, but they have equipment there that implies they will be doing more than just track removal. Looks like they will be grading the ROW too.

This is pretty strange that they are doing work on Farmingdale-Adelphia Rd before Fairfield-Yellobrook Rd.

Gonna take a wild guess here. I think Fairfield-Yellowbrook track refurb is part of phase 2, which is why we are just now seeing an RFP for trackwork for this stretch. That component is just shy of 2 miles. They have completed a little over 1-1/2 miles of the track work for phase 1, with about a mile more to do. Maybe that is yellowbrook-524, or 524-railroad ave. Phase 1 and 2 were each for about 2-1/2 miles of track, and switches.

There was some kind of confusion about who owns a portion of the track between Fairfield and Yellowbrook cited somewhere early on in this thread. That may have something to do with the delay for that portion, or perhaps the 10 mil total was just too much to go for in one grant.

There are stacks of new ties at both Yellowbrook and 524, So I guess that's the next stretch. Ought to be done just in time for Yellowbrook-Fairfield to be started.

The next pictures are of the Team Track and Freehold Yard. Took the chance to document how it looks since I haven’t been there in a while. Notice the old 1900s rail carts. Image
