October. They're waiting until all the MWRD work is done. Skokie Shop work is being done at other shops if possible, otherwise CTA is trucking equipment in and out.

CTA is "swiftly" restoring service to Skokie on Friday, October 30. The two newest cars in the fleet, recently arrived 5713-14, which completes the 5000 series and finishes the order from Bombardier, are said to be making the first run, and will likely be on hand all day. As an added bonus, a set of the recently retired 2400 series cars are also scheduled to make an appearance, to be ridden by dignitaries in an official reopening ceremony later in the morning, according to CBS2 Chicago.

To further entice commuters, CTA & the Village of Skokie will also be offering free parking at Dempster through the end of the year. Still gotta pay at Oakton, though...
