Management at the Rhinecliff Amtrak Station has begun putting patrons on notice that "no parking" rules will be strictly enforced.

Amtrak has a contract with John's Towing in Staatsburg to monitor the parking lot and enforce parking rules. The company is authorized to tow away vehicles in "no parking" zones.

A victim of success. Too many passengers. Not enough spots. Hopefully someone will come up with $$ to fund more parking.

It's an age old problem in suburbia. People can't find space in the lots so they park on the street. That makes the NIMBY-minded homeowners angry so they go down to Town Hall to get parking restrictions enacted. All that does is transfer the problem to the next block, which makes the NIMBY-minded...
