Begich and Menard signed an agreement Friday creating a Regional Transit Authority, and pitched light rail as a possible mass transit solution within the next couple of years.

I hope this succeeds. Here in Utah, Utah Transit Authority has shown the importance of molding public opinion in favor of the project. UTA is masterful in this area. The Alaska group should study UTA's success.
