Does anyone have a list of what units they are running? Also, what is stored and not running other than any of the units in the August auction.

This would include any of the B23-7 units they purchased with the railroad assets.

Tom,
As far as I know, here is what is currently operating on the CMQ:

CMQ B23-7 2001-2006
CEFX GP20D 2007, 2018, 2021, 2023, 2037, 2039, 2040
CITX SD40-2 3053, 3057, 3071, 3082, 3091

I don't know what is left on the property from the MMA (presumably all at Derby awaiting scrapping or movement elsewhere).

If anyone sees any other locomotives operating on the CMQ, let us know.
Best,
Fritz

It doesn't sound like CMQ will be getting any FEC power any time soon, according to this information posted by Mr. Noel Weaver:
Noel Weaver wrote:The CITX engines (blue SD-70's no. 140, 141 and 142) will go to the Norfolk Southern on lease. The other SD-70's (100-107 inclusive) are going to the CSX and the SD-40-2's that the FEC does not keep for their own operations are going to CSX on lease.

CEFX 2007 (GP20D) blew a turbo on the northbound run from NMJ to Brownville today, just north of Derby. This was after having suffered compressor failure of some sort in Glenburn. Apparently it ran out of fuel over New Years and froze up. Likely a contributing factor in today's unfortunate events, speculating.

They have otherwise been reliable since arrival.

The GP 20's have not been as reliable as people think, a lot of electrical problems, CMQ laid off 2 engine house people as of December 31, 2014, down to 5 total personnel at the engine house now.

Also wanted to mention the the GP 20"s have Caterpillar engine with anti freeze in them, if the concentrate is correct they won't freeze up if shut down or run out of fuel, may start hard due to being cold.

Any hope for new (to them) motors soon? I heard they were looking around. Maybe more GP20Ds?

So how many units by model type do they have in service?

7 GP20D
5 B23-7
5 SD40-2

One of the GP 20's has a blown Cat motor and one of the B 23's is being used for parts.

Not aware of a block, but a blown turbo on the CEFX 2007. CMQ 2005 is a part units for the B23-7 fleet (not counted in my post)

2018 has a blown motor. Big hole right out through the block.
