It wasn't a direct CSS/NICTD accident, but there was a traffic death at the Ogden Dunes station resulting in westbound US12 traffic being routed thru the station parking lot. Those that have driven through the area know that must have been a nightmare.

Hmm, I didn't know there was a death. I was on my way back from Michigan City down 12 and wondered why they made me go that way..

So you're a Highway 12 guy too? I take 12 whenever I'm not in a huge rush... Between the dunes and the South Shore, I can't think of a road I like more.

Actually, I don't take it that much..except in the summer. Of all the routes I take to Michigan City it seems like its about 5 minutes faster then the Toll Road or 80/94.
