can anyone explain bnsf "overlay board" work schedule. BNSF web site seems to make it sound like you get allocated scheduled days off. e.g. 7 on and 3 off or 11/4. Is this true or just blowing smoke. NC firefighter thinking about career change......
Don't know about overlay boards.
Rest cycles. As far as I know, Winslow, AZ is the only heritage Santa Fe terminal with rest cycles. A lot of old BN terminals still have them. Basically you work x days with x days off. You can mark up and work if you want. It works out pretty good. You can plan family gatherings and time with you family.
Good luck.
