Amtrak Alerts Twitter doesn't say it, but it may of been too late and past the account's service hours since regular arrival is near 1am. There's also no indication that it turned late, and nothing in Google News, so I'm leaning it wasn't.

Does anybody know the status of #21 (25th) westbound Texas Eagle; last entry is Springfield, IN and it does not
appear on the status maps.

Texas Eagle Train 21 that departed Chicago (CHI) on 3/25 is currently operating about 7hr late due to freight train congestion and signal issues north of Marshall (MHL).

Does anybody know what happened to #20 (28th) northbound Crescent that Arv'd. in WAS 11' 25" late???

Same old same o: See list and NS is slowing Crescent to less than 60 MPH except Gastonia <> Greensboro. north of ATL.

UPDATE: Crescent Train 20 which departed New Orleans (NOL) on 3/28 is currently operating about 6 hr late due to a servicing delay, signal issues, and a disabled Norfolk Southern Freight Train south of Atlanta (ATL).

Both Cardinals were stopped for around 4 hours today due to a trespasser incident. Not sure who was involved with the trespasser, I think it might have been BB.
50 was held at Staunton and 51 at Charlottesville.

Does anybody know why eastbound Lincoln #300 (4th) lost 4' 10" from Carlinville to Springfield?

SERVICE ADVISORY: Sunday April 14 Pennsylvanian Train 42 departing Pittsburgh (PGH) on 4/14 will stop between Altoona (ALT) and Lewistown (LEW) for approximately 2 hrs for track work. (43 also)
Wonder why they don't hold them at the respective stations for part of that so folks could get off the trains?

Between ATL and LEW... I know these stations are on a single track of a two-or-more track setup. So what interlocks are between ATL and LEW...

• CP WORKS, which looks like is a full crossover...
• CP ANTIS, which is a full crossover...
• CP-GRAY, another full crossover before Tyrone...
• CP-TUNNEL, a full crossover...
• CP-HUNT, at the same place as Huntington...
• CP-JACKS
• CP-McVEY
• CP-LONG
• CP-LEWIS, at the same place as Lewistown.

There's too many places where the trains can cross over, slow crawl through the work area, then go. So stopping for two hours for both trains to take a hit makes no sense... unless they're working on an interlock in totality.

That makes more sense. Norfolk Southern is working on CP LEWIS this Sunday. This means they have to pin the switch down to a track, and have CP-LONG and CP-MIFFLIN take up track switch duties, and there's probably going to be freight interference (thus the delay for up to two hours in both directions).

Well, at least Amtrak was warned about it in advance.

I got my answer. It seems Messrs Buffett and Rose no longer prioritize Amtrak against freight. It dropped an hour and a half plus moving across Arizona, according to an answer on the Twitter Amtrak Delays account.

NEC trains really suffering between BOWIE and BRIDGE (south of Bowie State MARC and north of West Baltimore MARC before the B&P Tunnels). Track 1 will be down for repairs between those interlocks, making it effectively two tracks between DC and Baltimore.
