I'm using woodland scenics dry transfer letters on a branchline trains coach. Woodlands instuctions say to spray the letters with a clear fixitive. What brands have people used. I used krylon once and it disolved microscale decals. Also, is it better to spray the whole car or just the sections with the letters? Id hate to yellow the paint. What about hand brushing polly scale clear flat over the letters? Finally is it better to be closer to or farther from the car when spraying?

A light coat of Testor's DullCote is customary as a last step to seal any model, especially where you have applied decals.

Emphasis on "light." One continuous motion, start spraying before the model, don't let go of the nozzle until you have cleared the other side. Move back and forth across the model until you have coated it. Use a lazy suzan or other stand so you can turn the model without touching it.
