WMATA - Red line 5-station closure summer 2024

Metro announced today that 5 stations on the Red line - Fort Totten to Glenmont - will be shut down throughout summer 2024 so workers can build connections with the Purple Line.

WMATA determined that single tracking is not feasible.

WMATA is not building the purple line. MDOT is and this just connecting their purple line to WMATA's red line
