just noticed on the way into work, that there are some new track panels laying just a tad south of the ballardvale station.
no clue what they are for, maybe they'll be for the crossing, as that's pretty rough right there.
just a mention.
edit: so, I have an occasional cold one with a guy way up the foodchain ,as far as track repair goes.
I'm told that there was a broken rail at the crossing, a temporary fix was made, and that they'll be changing out both crossing sections this summer.
