No Guilford/Pan Am. That's CSX territory with maybe a little Housatonic in the Pittsfield area.

The yard used to be an Interchange for the B&M there is a Branch line that is at the Northend of the line...and about 5 years ago one of the Track forman for CSX told me its not in that bad of shape for a few miles north of the yard..?

the area that the article talks about would be serviced by CSX

Actually the "Berkshire Sub" Runs From CP-SM (QB or Mp 191.8) east to (QB or MP 92) CP-92 CSX Albany Service Lane ( Ex-Conrail Boston line)

the Housatonic RR connects at CP-150 CSX Albany Service lane and Interchanges with CSX at the (Yard in question) at Mp148.5 "Pittsfield Yard" which is also designated as a Springfield Terminal RR connection.

S.T. used to go there before they abandoned the lower half of the Adams Branch. :(
