From a slightly earlier time, the Railroad Magazine article about the first Westbound run of the Pennsylvania Special on an 18 hour schedule, June 5, 1902 said there were (I think) 6 engines scheduled. I remember changes at Harrisburg, Pittsburgh, Crestline, and Ft. Wayne, but NOT West Philadelphia. I'm not sure what I forgot, Altoona, maybe?
