It was here that I grew to love the trains that went through during the Penn Central years, a through freight that went south from Morrisville(?) to Pavonia and then an early am through freight that originated likely at Pavonia and passed Roebling in the very early morning hours. Then there was a daily freight that switched CF&I (Roebling Steel Mill) and also serviced Doane's Shipyard (scrap steel from ship breaking operations there on the Delaware, Church Brick just north of Doane's and Stepan Chemical. That daily local would leave cars to be picked up at Roebling on the #2 track by the southbound through freight. A very busy little railroad just in this small area, not taking into account what was going on at Griffin Pipe in Florence and US Pipe in Burlington.
I've always thought this was the original Roebling Station and was moved to this spot but I could be wrong. Definitely looks like railroad architecture-
