I will be traveling down to Florida on a family vacation and I am going to work in some railfanning where I can. I am already going to travel on RT1 from Jacksonville to St Augustine and hope to catch some movement on that line. Other than that I plan on driving by the yard/shops in New Smyrna Beach...

Also a lot of locations needed to be traveled to are not mapped and a lot of times railroad owned property. Most Uber drivers would not want to drive miles along ROW ballast or in a foot of mud in a yard. NorthWest also makes the great point in the time availability. When you are called for a train ...

Does anyone know why the 3 new F59CCB rebuild units have not been used yet? They were delivered in the Raleigh yard and have sat there. Seems like every train has a powered unit on both ends still.

What are the current export orders being built in Erie.

I was going past Enola and saw a line of about 6 exports on flats sitting there. Paint scheme was similar to the VALE Scheme.

Does anyone know which locomotives these were?

Does anyone know the numbers of the engines stored dead in Bethlehem on the yard off of 4th Street? There seems to be 5 slugs and 17 engines stored on two tracks. There is also the other small yard with about 8 engines by Shimersville road. Which ones are these? Also does anyone know what units are ...

They are a great little organization. Always crowded. That repaint must be new because I was there at easter and it was still shabby in its older paint.

I was recently looking at pictures of EMD Export SD70ACe for BHP and they mentioned that their units were equipped with EMD tropical roofs. What is this feature and what benefits does it provide? What other models may have this? Attached (not my picture) is a picture of such unit with this feature. ...

Where this train derailed is the bottom of the sand patch grade. There is a curve at this point coming off the mountain. This is a large train for this territory but they were getting close to this length pre EHH.

LTE does have some UP B40s still but most have been scrapped. LTEX is filled with CSX C40s and B40s. It would most likely be these units since they were sold in running condition and were still pulling trains less than a year ago.
