The track that crosses Ocean ave went into an LILCo now LIPA power grid substation. Probably used to deliver a transformer there. Its severed at the track level and only trace left is in Ocean ave. Even the track in the substation is gone, no hope !!! I cross it when i am leaving the supermarket on ...

Dont forget the coal Dockon the atlantic branch which had a siding from the elevated down to ground level. If you look closely you can see the embankment where it went to ground level. Now its been torn down for a long time and an empty lot there now.

Flatbush ave upgrade

This morning I decided to take a look at the new upstairs area at Flatbush ave and was very surprised!. It looks great and what are the plans for the old waiting room at the platform level.

I just saw the 398 this morning, and its leading the Dead Line at Morris Park. Looks like its not going to return to service. Any word on its status? thanks

Leaving Jamaica a few 100 ft (after leaving the underpass) heading railroad east on the Atlantic branch I noticed a white light dwarf signal. Did this replace a position light signal or is it a new signal for a speed restriction? Thank you.

Robertwa, that line you drew on the map at the end of the cutoff in cedarhurst is a bit off, the cutoff started at cedarhurst ave and curved through the now village hall parking lot. At the end of North woodmere park there are remains of a bridge that go over the creek there at the Queens border.
