I heard from someone who lives in the area that a few blocks of Route 23 have been paved over, to what extent I don't know. Anyone know if this is yet another line to fall?

The affected area is around Susquehanna-Dauphin.

A road patching crew put in a large patch at Temple the past several days at 12th & Norris Streets. They were careful not to pave over either one of the rails.

The section I am talking about is 10th Street, between Cumberland and Susquehanna. I drove it myself tonight. The tracks are paved over completely---100%. Interestingly enough, it is only the SEPTA ROW that is paved over. The sides of the street are still cobblestone. So did SEPTA pave it over?

In any case, the tracks are gone, the 23 will not ride again, I think it will only be a matter of time before word gets out, as other street projects occur, that other sections of track will leave and the route will suffer the same fate as the 56.

And then there was one.....
