I rode the River Line from 36th Street on Saturday morning. A northbound train was waiting short of the station because the switch was set for the yard.

The southbound, 3520 and 3511, arrived on time, but was out of service and went into the yard.

The northbound was then 15 minutes late, so all meets with southbound trains were on passing sidings except for the first meet, south of Route 73, where the southbound was waiting for us.

The Park-ride lots were all virtually empty (Saturday morning, mid day), but the trains were well patronized. The 2-car trains that I rode had more than half their seats occupied, and the one single-car train was standing room only from Beverly/Edgewater Park on south.

I exited in Burlington to photograph street running.

At the Rand Transportation Center in Camden I caught a southbound deadhead meeting a northbound revenue train.

I finished up by photographing the train that I took back to 36th Street.

On my return trip from Trenton

I rode the Riverline for the first time yesterday, and I was impressed! I was surprised at how quiet these trains are. When you hear the word " diesel" as in DMU, for me anyway it immediately conjures up the sound of-well a diesel engine. But this is not the case inside or outside the train.

Everytjing still has that fresh, clean, brand-new look to it. And there was even a fair amount of passengers for a Tuesday afternoon.

Here are some pictures from my round-trip between Pennsauken and Burlington.

I was thinking the same exact thing the first time I rode the LINE, about 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Back on topic, great pictures, Bob! I've always loved how you have taken great pictures of nearly all my favorite stations. Keep 'em comin!

I rode the River Line from Camden to Trenton and back on Thursday evening with a friend who asked me to be his guide.

I photographed our train at the E-Center from NJT property:

Then I walked into a non-NJT parking lot to photograph a train on the layup track:

A NJT cop saw me, and when I returned to the platform, he watched me like a hawk. I missed a couple photo ops while he was watching.

He finally turned away, giving me the opportunity to photograph the layup train entering service:

The officer followed us to Rand Transportation Center and got off when we did. He followed us into PATCO's Broadway station and didn't quit until we entered fare control.
