So how did the increased traffic into Hoboken go this a.m. ?
Many folks or did most take this week off ?

Normally this train preceeds the usual Midtown Direct. Well, since the "midtown direct" was not going to NYP, everyone figured to jump on the little 3 car MU to go to Hoboken. We had people stuffed in the vestibules by the time we got to the oranges. Somehow I thought that part of it could have been planned out better. I don't think they picked anyone up in Newark and definitely left people at the stop before that.Speaking of the Gladstone MidTown Direct, are they still running the 8-car train and 9-car train this week? I also guess that it was a push-pull train. Correct?
Hoboken wasn't too bad.. there was crowding on the path as expected, but nothing too bad. I was able to get on the first path train I saw.

Read on njtransit.com that a NJCL train was cancelled near South Amboy due to mechanical problems.
Push pulls were scrambled to try to make up for the shortages, which probably lead to a couple of MU's subbing for Pushpull trians on the Gladstone, M and E, etc
It was a very trying day for NJT, and, except for the Hoboken mishap at 5pm, it went pretty good.
The problem at the airport was a train took down wires on number 1 track at Lane interlocking, and eastbound trains were low levling at Elizabeth, and bypassing the airport stop
