I think I have a perfect car for the M line; Type 5 replica cars built by Brookville. It would be simple to do, just look at the [sadly destroyed] Canal St cars in New Orleans, or the TECO trolley cars in Tampa. If you're a PCC man, you can send the existing PCC's to Brookville and make them into PCC2's like SEPTA did.

In any way, you could modernize the fleet, and make the line an attraction with "Throwback" cars.

What do you think of this idea?

The PCC's were just rebuilt, why are we sending them to Brookville?

I'm not sure how good a Type 5 looks with a pantograph on it anyway. the Mattapan is getting catenary, which means all the electrics will run with pans, right?

Johnathan Belcher has told the bsra that they are only putting in new regular overhead and poles, no patagrapghs.
