BR@P is correct normally the hand brake is on the "B"end.however five unit container cars lettered A E D C B have hand brakes on both A and B ends

Not on A and B ends but on A and B car. the lettering in Doublestaks denotes the car letters not the car ends.

railroads consider stack cars spine cars and other multi- platform(wells, buckets, tabels, etc) cars as one car, with one pair of couplers and one car number.each of these cars has an "A" end and a "B" end thus the platform letters A E D C B with A and B denoting the A and B ends of the car.
