Some of the pictures appear to be similar to those is a series of books published around 1974 by the Railroadians of America.

Those glass plates were the source for the photographs in the Railroadians "Next Station" series.

However:

1) Not all of the photos on the site were used in the books.

2) Not all of the photos in the books are available on the site.
(It seems that some of the glass plates have been broken.)

3) The quality of the photos has faded since they were copied in the books.

I did an extensive comparison of stations on the Northern Railroad.

I was not able to imporve the photos to the books quality, even using Adobe Photo Shop.
